George Erick James Missing since 1998

James was last seen in Montgomery, Alabama on November 23, 1998. He had an argument with his mother and left her home angry. He has never been heard from again.

He was carrying somewhere between $6,000 and $14,000 in cash on him when he disappeared; a married girlfriend had allegedly given him the money so he could move away and start a new life. James’s car was found on Interstate 65 near Evergreen, Alabama, over 80 miles from his mother’s home, in March 1999.

James is described as a white male, 6’1” in height and weighing 170 lbs. James has the following tattoos: A picture of a lighthouse on his chest, a skull on the right side of his neck, and the words Brick and Robin on his right arm.

The photographs that are available are from circa 1998. James would be 42 years old now. So if he is alive he may look very different, but someone may still be able to recognize him.

Authorities initially believed James traveled to Florida or to Mobile, Alabama after his disappearance and sought work in the construction industry, but no sightings were ever confirmed. Now he is considered a probable homicide victim. He has a criminal record and once served time in prison for burglary. His case like so many others remains unsolved.

There is still a face book page made for George, his mother still has no answers. Every now and then she will make a post and ask if anyone has any information about her missing son. So many years later and not one person will speak up. Help this family get some peace, no one should go to bed every night not knowing where their son may be. Reading her posts hurt me a little. Go check it out.
