Man arrested in abduction of 2 minors Prattville Al.

A Greenville man wanted in a Prattville child abduction case has been arrested.

Michael Jerome Butler

Michael Butler, 35, is accused of kidnapping two underage females for sex crimes, according to jail records.

They say he abducted two teenage girls from a local business’ parking lot (Walgreens) on Thursday night.

Prattville police began investigating the incident Friday and they said the girls were safely reunited with their families.

Thompson declined to release much information, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation and the age of the victims. The girls were forced into a vehicle as they were in the parking lot. Other charges are likely to be filed, he said.

The crime at this time appears to be completely random, Thompson said, with Butler having no known connections to the teens or to the Prattville area.

Butler was booked into the Autauga County Metro Jail early Sunday morning on charges of kidnapping a minor for sexual assault. He is being held without bond.
