The “Montrose Ghost”

In 1913 Irish airman Douglas Arthur’s biplane unexpectedly crashed and he was killed while flying over Montrose air base in Scotland. Soon after his ghost began to be sighted around the base. He even popped up in photographs. Perhaps coincidentally (or not), a mysterious ghost biplane was seen above the base in 1940 by a WWII pilot. Continue reading The “Montrose Ghost”
